Hefner, Eberspacher & Tapella, LLC is located midway between the communities of Mattoon and Charleston, Illinois and serves clients in state and federal courts throughout the Central and Southern Illinois area. Representative clients include Lanman Oil, Curry Construction, Coles-Moultrie Electric Cooperative and Drake Homes. The firm accepts litigation referrals from over fifty referring law firms throughout Central and Southern Illinois, Indiana and Missouri.
In 1992, David Y. Eberspacher and M. John Hefner, Jr. formed the law firm of Hefner and Eberspacher in Mattoon, Illinois. In 2001, they joined William R. Tapella and became the law firm of Hefner, Eberspacher & Tapella. On June 1, 2010 Zachary R. Pancoast became a partner and the firm opened its office in O'Fallon, Illinois.
The firm consists of ten (10) attorneys and eleven (11) support staff. Each of the attorneys has areas of concentration ranging from medical malpractice, personal injury, estate planning and administration, probate, contested estate litigation, real estate, transactional services, and other areas of contested litigation.
